…with Fishergate Shopping Centre
About three weeks ago I was contacted by Fishergate Shopping Centre in Preston – which is local to me – to see if I wanted to take part in their ‘Summer In The City’ campaign including a free shopping spree for the day. It was a bit of a no brainer really; what girl would say no?
Before I knew it, the date was set and Hugo and I had set off for our first shopping spree day-out. Mondays never felt so good, even though it was a gloomy day and the heavens opened just as we pulled up in the car park. After waiting a few minutes there was no signs of it stopping and so we just had to make a run for it. You would not believe how torrential it was; it was only a few seconds from car to shelter but we both rocked up looking like a pair of drowned rats and I’m not even exaggerating haha!
We were soon greeted by the Fishergate Centre’s lovely and may I add very beautiful social media gal Sophia who led us to our own private changing room that they normally reserve for personal shopping. Inside, Sophia had put together not only a gorgeous little goodie bag for me full of perfume testers, eye creams and beauty treats but one for Hugo too. He was absolutely made up and so was I. It contained all sorts of toys, books, nibbles and bath time fun including Peppa Pig things which Hugo has taken a shine to recently and because the changing room was so big it was like his own little play room too. We were well set.
So the task…
I was given three vouchers; £250 for Debenhams, £150 for TK Maxx, £100 for Primark.
All three stores have a lovely range of fashion for the whole family (men’s, women’s and children’s), homeware and beauty which makes it super easy to find something for everyone and as you can imagine it wasn’t too difficult finding enough things to buy. With the vouchers I was able to get a lovely range of clothes for Ayman, Hugo and I, homeware bits for the house and Hugo’s room and beauty treats and more.
I’ve spoken about it in more depth on my latest video blog and you can see how I put together the outfits we bought and how they fit in ‘real life’. I took a huge step out of my comfort zone being ‘on camera’ too which was something I thought I’d never be able to do but I just want to say thank you so much to all of you who have given me words of encouragement, you’ve all been so lovely and I wish I could give you all a big huge hug.

So there you have it; my five top summer must-have dresses that will have you set for any kind of occasion whether it be a family day out, holidaying in the sun, a summer wedding or some other form of celebration such as graduation and so on. I hope you enjoyed this more fashion-styled blog post and, as you can imagine, it was quite fun shooting it. We parked up just a couple of metres away from this wall and I had to keep quickly running back into the car to get changed into the next outfit. That’s when Danielle (my brother’s girlfriend) got these snaps of Hugo… too cute not to share and thanks so much Danielle if you’re reading this, big mwah x.
Hugo loves putting the hat on himself!
A big thanks to Fishergate Shopping Centre again for giving us such a fun opportunity and thank you to all of you who have made it this far… well done!
