I should have shared this post about a month ago but there just haven’t been enough hours in the day recently; I guess that’s motherhood for you! Better late than never, hey.

I’ve decided that I’m going to take a leaf out of my dear friend Jules‘ book and try to do a monthly vlog, capturing little snippets of our home life but also life outside these walls too.

So here goes, my first monthly vlog and this one is focused on Remy’s first three weeks in this world and oh how one tiny little person can completely change our world!

I’m going to keep this post pretty short and sweet – mother nature has only provided a small window of opportunity to get this written up! Needless to say, we are all every bit in love with our little follically-blessed bundle of joy.

So a little about Remy:

He has the most hair I’ve ever seen on a baby. It’s like pure silk to touch and even he likes to stroke his own hair, particularly behind his right ear.

He likes to be cuddled, a lot. He’s like my own personal hot water bottle and cuddly bear. If he had it his way he’d sleep on my chest all night long if I let him.

I don’t know if this is motherly intuition or maybe just romantic wishful thinking but there’s a delicate sweetness about Remy. I feel like he’s going to be a little sensitive soul.

I love how he watches me wandering around the room… as long as he can see me, he’s happy.

He’s not fazed by his older brother Hugo gripping him too tightly or invading his personal space, I mean what even is ‘personal space’ when you’re a kid anyway? Hugo’s well-intended hugs do tend to turn into headlocks and Remy just sits there like “Mate… struggling to breathe here.”

He has always loved lying on his tummy but in recent days is starting to lie on his back more comfortably.

His smile is the best present you could ever receive and don’t even get me started on when he coos – ultimate heart melting moments! I’m going to try and capture some of these in my next video 🙂
