What do you get a pregnant lady for Christmas? It’s a toughie but hopefully this post will help with a few ideas. I’ve also added a few recent brands I’ve come across for Hugo because I know I’m not going to have to time to write another Christmas wish-list for toddlers!
So let’s start with Hugo:
Hugo LOVES books (as do most children I’m sure) and because of that I’m always on the hunt for new exciting stories that he’ll really enjoy… whilst also keeping us parents entertained too! After all, we’re the ones reading to him every night and it’s no good if we fall asleep first!
Wondrous Ink have a gorgeous book which you can personalise with the name of your child and also, to some degree, their real life appearance. It’s brimming with really positive and upbeat story lines and deeper meanings. For Hugo he’s Helpful, Unique, Great and Outstanding. I love how it helps your child have a positive outlook on their character.
This book is currently on offer for £17.99 from £19.99 but you can also use code SALLYF2 for 20% discount bringing the price down to £14.39 which is AMAZING. There are also further discounts if you bought more than one book. Be quick to ensure you get delivery before Christmas – though it’s a lovely gift for birthdays and other occasions too.
Slippers from White Stuff
I LOVE LOVE LOVE slippers and pretty much get a new pair every Christmas. White Stuff currently have 20% off all nightwear including slippers and these are my absolute faves so far. I love the pom pom detail and how you can quickly slip them on with no fuss. I have the slim line mule slipper but they have so many other gorgeous options for you to look at here.
Changing bags with style that you can use as a normal handbag too! When I was pregnant with Hugo I had no idea that there were so many gorgeous changing bags out there and settled for a fairly tame and not-so-stylish run-of-the-mill changing bag. Since stepping into the world of ‘mummy blogging’ so-to-speak my eyes have been opened to how mums can still be stylish and choose items that reflect who they are in a fashion sense if you know what I mean?!
I have the Ellie Black Changing Bag which is made from a gorgeous supple leather with tan leather and gold buckle details, it’s perfect for styling up with almost anything!
Here are some of the other secret details:
• Secure back zip pocket
• Removable BabyBeau organiser
• Water resistant interior
• Leatherette changing mat
• Leatherette bottle holder
• Detachable zip pocket pouch
• BabyBeau Dust Bag
• Converts to regular handbag
• Dimensions: H: 30cm W: 45cm D:15cm
Underwear from Freya Lingerie
Who says being pregnant isn’t sexy? If I’m being honest I hardly ever feel sexy these days but Freya Lingerie do just the job to help bring ‘that sexy back’ as Justin Timberlake says haha. I have a plain black set as well as these cute little numbers below and they’re all perfect for nursing too!
Mama Mio Pregnancy Saviour Kit
This has all the luxury essentials you need to help you last throughout your nine months of being pregnant and beyond. Incredibly soft on your skin and helps guard against stretch marks, sore boobs, swollen legs, ankles and feet and to generally just help you to keep re-balanced and de-stressed! Just what the doctor ordered for me at the moment! You can read more in-depth about it here.
This should be £65 but it’s currently on offer for £48 🙂
Clary & Peg / Kide Fashion
I love the story behind Clary & Peg as it was set up by two mums who met when they were both expecting at antenatal classes. They design and make beautiful pieces of maternity wear that’s vintage inspired but can also be worn when not pregnant too so they’re a great investment! I have the Needlecord Pinafore and the Stripe Button Smock.
As for Kide fashion they have THE most adorable clothes for children, I’m absolutely in love with Hugo’s little corduroy short dungarees and shirt. He reminds me so much of little Prince George in them and on that note a little fact for you… if you’re in the Royal Family it’s tradition that boys wear shorts – and shorts only! – up until the age of two. It’s a silent class marker apparently, I obviously wouldn’t know as I’m no aristocrat but it’s interesting to learn! If you fancy knowing a little more about this tradition I suggest you read this great article ‘Why Prince George Wears Shorts All The Time‘ by Vanity Fair.
Quite simply the cutest, most cuddliest and loved towels in our home right now. We have two towels from this company… one being pictured below called the ‘Cuddleroar‘ which is hands-down Hugo’s favourite as he loves being a dinosaur, and the ‘Snuggle Bear‘ which Hugo looks oh so cute in! They come in gorgeous boxes too – the perfect gift that will be used and loved over the years!
Use code 20off for 20% discount off any Cuddledry
Finally a little something just to help with those busy Christmas nights where you’re madly shopping online or running around like a mad hatter and just can’t face cooking! Deliveroo are offering £2.50 coupon discounts when using code SALLYFAZ for all new users. It’s basically one big hub of all cool local restaurants and take-aways that – thanks to Deliveroo – can now deliver straight to your door. Guilty as charged; we’ve probably had far too many of these recently with all the craziness of moving house and having no energy to cook but it’s all good because there’s quite a lot of healthy options on there too hehe.
I hope some of these ideas have helped in some way or another! I’d love to know if they have. Best of luck with all your Christmas shopping… just over a week to go to go, are you kidding me?! I need to do so much – eek!
Sending lots of Christmas sprinkles to you all!
Some of the items on this post have either been sponsored or gifted to me at some point throughout this year but I only genuinely write about products that I use and love. That’s why I thought I’d share them all in one post for some great Christmas ideas! All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own :).
