We’re back from our week in Scotland where we gathered family memories aplenty. We stayed in a huge manor house for my Dad’s 70th birthday (sorry Dad, he doesn’t like me mentioning his age!) with all my sisters and brothers and their children too – all-in-all there was 19 of us. To say there was never a dull moment is an understatement… up at the crack of dawn and up late most nights playing games and giggling over a few drinks. I think I’m still playing catch up now.

Most of these pics were taken in Scotland with its beautiful idyllic backdrops, the one above shows you a glimpse of Loch Lomond which we visited on our last day whilst the rain had finally given up and made way for the sun – yay!

Even though we ended up staying indoors for more than we hoped due to the persistent rain and pesky midges that came with it, we remained pretty active playing games like manhunt and hide ‘n’ seek – keeping the kids occupied! It felt like my heart was about to pop out of chest at one point from the adrenaline of trying to get back to base without being caught haha. Who knew manhunt was so stressful?

It was perfect timing that just before we traveled to Scotland a delivery of clothes came for the boys from a lovely brand called Tootsa. Clothes that they can be active in, play, explore, run around in, basically what all kids are made of and perfect for our week away in rural Scotland. They have a really fun and vibrant edge to them and are designed so that both girls and boys can wear all the styles. So if you’re someone who likes to dress your kids in the same clothes whether you have boys, girls or one of each – they’re ideal.

All these pieces that you see featured below are from their new ‘Amazonian‘ collection which is bursting with colours, animals and fun prints much like a child’s imagination. When you look at the collection online you’ll see that you can go as vibrant as you like as well as opt for the more toned down pieces. I feel like we picked items that are a bit of both which suits Hugo’s persona perfectly as he loves being wild and animal-like but also has a more gentle nature too. The quality is so lovely for children; hard-wearing but super soft as all the jersey-wear is made from 100% organic GOTS registered cotton.
