As you may know by now I LOVE jewellery and, in particular, understated and delicate gold pieces that you can layer or wear simply and stylishly on their own. If you’re the same as me, then let me introduce you to the beautiful jewellery brand Missoma. I have been collecting jewellery from their stunning range for five years now and they still never fail to bring out new designs that I absolutely adore!
From the day I received this collection, I have worn them every… single… day, don’t know if it’s just me but I quickly become attached to jewellery and refuse to wear anything else. I even wore this collection in the sea and pool which I know is naughty but it stood the test of time nonetheless. It’s made from 18ct gold vermeil (pronounced ‘ver-may’, vermeil is a term used to describe jewellery made of silver and coated with gold) and that’s why it’s really hard-wearing and, dare I say it, nearly as good as solid gold.
Marisa – the Creative Director and founder of Missoma – has been putting all her designs into real life stunning pieces of jewellery since 2005. I love finding out little interesting facts and this next one is so lovely, the name Missoma comes from a mix of her Mother’s name Michelle, her sisters name Sophie and her own name Marisa…. How’s that for woman power behind a brand! I love it.
This collection is from Missoma’s collaboration with the super stylish blogger Lucy Williams. I don’t know if you’ve seen Lucy but I adore all her style posts so it’s no surprise that I love this jewellery too. Whether you layer this mini fang necklace with a longer pendant or not, it honestly won’t fail in being the perfect little statement necklace to complement most outfits. To describe in a few words I’d say its beautifully ‘delicate’ (but strongly made as Hugo has tugged on it a fair few times), ‘minimal’ and ‘feminine’ in design with a touch of ‘edginess’ with the little fangs.
I’ve popped the links to the jewellery pieces I have from this particular collection below with a discount code too and also the outfit I’m wearing just in case! Oh and they’re also available in sterling silver if gold isn’t your thing :).
